Goals and Strategies |
|
| |
The Consortium’s primary goal is to position the art as a key element in promoting the economic development of the metro area.
This will be accomplished by:
- Marketing/ increasing awareness of public art programs
- Promoting excellence in the arts
- Educating the public, public officials & teachers about the value of public art
- Connecting/ unifying municipalities through collaborative initiatives
- Engaging the community in public art programs

Collaborative Projects |
|
| |
Our first collaborative project is the creation of a Public Art Navigator (PAN). PAN will be a cell phone audio tour of the metro’s public art. The first phase of the Navigator will focus on downtown Kansas City, MO. The second phase will include public art in Johnson County. A companion website will also host the tour in audio and written format.
The Public Art Navigator is generously funded in part by Commerce Bank. |
