The Arts Council of Johnson County (ACJC) is a nonprofit organization. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life in the community by strengthening the arts.

Johnson County, Kansas is one of six core counties that make up the Kansas City Metropolitan Area. Strengthening the arts in Johnson County and the Kansas City metro not only enhances the area’s quality of life, but contributes to building a regional arts identity, creates a cultural tourist destination and cultivates a competitive economy.

By working with business leaders, elected officials, arts organizations, and educators, the Arts Council of Johnson County ensures the arts are part of suburban Johnson County and metropolitan Kansas City’s current and future development.
