Nominating a Student |
|
| |
- The Shooting Stars Program is not an open competition. Only senior high school students who are residents of Johnson County, Kansas, may be nominated.
- Only High School Art Faculty in private and public school systems who have graduating senior high school students who reside in Johnson County, KS, may nominate a finalist.
- High School Art Faculty members must submit a request to access the Shooting Stars online nomination/submission form. To submit your request, click here. Once the request form has been submitted, you will then see a confirmation page with a link to the nomination form.
- Nomination forms may be submitted starting September 1 through October 16, 2009.
- The deadline for nominations is Friday, October 16, 2009. No late nominations will be accepted. No late nominations will be accepted.
- Each nominating teacher will receive an email confirming their student’s nomination from the ACJC. Each nominated student will receive a letter congratulating them on their nomination from the ACJC.
- Once a student has been nominated, they become a Shooting Stars Finalist and are eligible for scholarship competition.

Nominating Guidelines |
|
| |
- No high school may nominate more than one finalist per category.
- Each high school does not have to make a nomination in each scholarship category.
- The nominating art educator must submit a Finalist Nomination Form; only one teacher per nomination will be accepted.
- All nominations must be received via the online form.
- The ACJC will not accept an incomplete entry form.

- Theatre Performance (including voice) -- make sure your finalist is Theatre-Voice, not Classical!
