  2009 Nominating Submissions Information  
     
  Part 1 - Finalist Nomination  
 

FIRST - Teachers must submit a request to access our online nomination/submission form. Requests must be submitted between September 2 – October 17, 2008.

DEADLINE FOR NOMINATIONS: Friday, 17, October 2008. (Additional Key Dates)

BEFORE submitting request for Nomination/Submission form, please read the following Nomination Information and Criteria.

1. Nominating Categories

  • Literature
  • Photography
  • Strings
  • Theatre/Performance (including voice) -- make sure you your finalist is theatre-voice, not classical!
  • Theatre/Technical
  • Three-Dimensional Art
  • Two-Dimensional Art
  • Voice (classical)
  • Winds & Percussion

2. Nomination/Submission Guidelines

  • Only High School Art Faculty in private and public school systems who have graduating senior high school students who reside in Johnson County, KS, may nominate a finalist.
  • No high school may nominate more than one finalist per category.
  • Each high school does not have to make a nomination in each scholarship category.
  • The nominating art educator must submit finalist Nomination Form. One teacher per nomination.
  • All nominations must be received via the online form.
  • The Arts Council of Johnson County will not accept an incomplete entry form

3. Nominating Criteria

  • No high school art faculty may nominate more than one finalist per category.
  • A senior high school student is eligible to compete in only one category.
  • A nominated student must plan to enroll in an accredited college, university or certified arts school.
  • The participation of a senior high school student in extra-curricular and community activities or volunteerism, especially if it relates to his/her artistic talent, will be considered in choosing a nominee.
  • Honors and awards received by the student may be considered for the nominating process.
  • The nominated student must be a senior high school student with minimum high school GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 system.

  Teachers must submit the form below to request access to our secure online nomination/submission form. Access requests may only be submitted between September 2 - October 17.

  Step 1 - Fill out nomination/submission form  
  Step 2 - Once the Arts Council of Johnson County receives and approves your request, we will email you a password and username to access the online nomination form.
