Your son or daughter has been nominated as a Shooting Stars Finalists by a member of the fine art faculty at the high school where your son or daughter attends ….which means they are being recognized for their outstanding artistic achievement during their high school career! As a Finalist they will also compete for college scholarships! Please read the About Information on the Shooting Stars Program and the Key Dates.

Shooting Stars Gala – Over the twelve history of the program, we have honored the Shooting Stars finalists through a reception and banquet. For 2009, we will honor all the finalists with a Shooting Stars Gala. The Gala, scheduled for Sunday, March 29, 3-6:30 p.m. will include the opening of the Visual Arts Finalists Exhibit at the Nerman Museum (located on the campus of Johnson County Community College and a reception. Following the opening and reception The Arts Council of Johnson County will host a Recognition and Awards Ceremony in Yardley Hall, Carlsen Center, JCCC.
